How do I change an SQL Server DB to Simple Backups

  1. Log in to remote desktop to SQL Server (win2.dc-servers.com)
  2. Start Enterprise Manager
  3. Expand SQL Server Group and Local Instance
  4. Expand Databases Folder tab
  5. Locate and right click the DB and select "Properties"
  6. Click "Options"
  7. Under "Recovery" the drop list labelled "Model" change from "Full" to "Simple"
  8. To make sure DB is back on line ASAP click "Transaction Log" tab
  9. In the bottom right hand corner of the screen in the "Maximum file growth " area increase the quota or change it to "Unrestricted file growth"
  10. Click "OK"
