What does a GTLD NEW CONTACT VERIFICATION Email look like?

GTLD NEW CONTACT VERIFICATION Email

If you choose to transfer your domain away to another registrar, you will be required to obtain the Transfer Authorisation Code (sometimes called the EPP Code) before the transfer process can begin.

THIS IS NOT SPAM but a requirement of your transfer of the domain - if you block, bounce or report the reminders as spam you may be unable to transfer your domain name.

Example GTLD NEW CONTACT VERIFICATION Email

From: Astutium Limited - Domain Registrar [registrar -at- astutium.com]
To: Domain Contacts
Subject: Domain Registrant E-mail Contact Verification
You are receiving this message because you are being nominated as the new
registrant for (domain).

As of January 1, 2014 ICANN (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and
Numbers) has mandated that all gTLD Domain Registrars perform a series of
verification/validation steps on all new domain registrations and all
changes to existing domains to ensure that the Registrant Contact
information is correct, current and working.

This is a mandatory step under the 2013-RAA (the rules governing domain
registrars and domain registrations) and part of the ongoing changes and
improvements to WHOIS data accuracy.

Use of 'fake' details and/or a 3rd-party 'privacy/proxy' service is no
longer acceptable on new domains and domains updated after January 1 2014.
If you have concerns over the publishing of your contact information in the
public WHOIS you should contact your Domain Registrar to discuss privacy
protection options, but you must still complete the mandatory validation
and verification steps.

You have requested to change contact details on your domain that must be
verified.  This change will not be applied until the verification takes
place.  You must follow the steps below to complete this process.

1. Visit the verification site at: -
(verification URL)

2. Enter your domain name and the following verification code:
(verification code)

Whilst this change is outstanding, no further changes can be made to
the domain name. Regards, Astutium Limited - Domain Registrar (This e-mail is cryptographically signed to prove authenticity, if you have any doubts about the origin of this e-mail please forward it - as an attachment - to $support for verification.)
