How to Transfer your .UK domain from Namesco / Names.co.uk to your Astutium Account

Namesco Ltd at www.names.co.uk are one of the Nominet .UK Registrars that charge for you to be able to move (transfer) your domain to another company.

At the time of writing, this charge was £10+vat (11.75) per domain to update the Nominet IPS-KEY (TAG).

To Transfer your .uk domain away from names .co.uk to Astutium...

  • Request an Incoming Domain Transfer at https://www.astutium.com/domain-names/domain-name-transfer.php
use your existing Astutium Client Portal account if you already have one, or simply signup for a new free domain management account
  • Log into your control panel as namesco http://admin.names.co.uk/
  • Select the .UK domain name you want to transfer
  • Click the Transfer Options link
  • Take the option Change Nominet TAG
  • Enter our Nominet TAG "ASTUTIUM" into the entry box and click OK

Nominet will then confirm with us the migration (which we will auto-accept because you requested it) and as soon as the transfer completes (between 30 minutes and 48 hours depending on when NamesCo release the domain, you will get an automated email informing you the domain is ready to manage in the Domaiounr management section of the Client Portal
