Importing Neomail Addressbook into SquirrelMail
It is a reasonably simple process to import a Neomail addressbook into SquirrelMail. ..Neomail only has two fields in the addressbook, the nickname and the email address.
SquirrelMail has five fields and the order is Nickname, First Name, Last Name, email address, and Other Info.
- Connect to your domain using an FTP program as you would for uploading a website
Navigate to the .neomail-emailuser/cpanelusername folder that is in your root folder
Download the addressbook files and save them to your local computer. - Edit the file locally in a text editor (notepad or similar - NOT A WORDPROCESSOR)
Change the seperating colon to three pipes, i.e. find ":" and replace with "|||" - Go to SquirrelMail (www.yourdomain.ext/webmail)
add an address into the Address Book to create the files needed. - Upload the editted addressbook file by FTP to the .sqmaildata folder in your root folder, overwritting the existing emailuser@yourdomain.ext.abook file created by SquirrelMail.
